DrumCamFilms was founded in 2010 by filmmaker Mike McKenzie. Since then we have grown from a small team into a structured, all-purpose production company. We have won an award for our work at The Portobello Film Festival with the film ‘Russ Henderson - The Pan Man’ which has had several cinema screenings in the UK and around the world.

This short documentary, filmed and edited by Mike McKenzie, tells the story of local musician Russ Henderson

Henderson MBE, aged 90 years old, has been heavily influential in developing the playing of steel pan in the UK and is one of the pioneers of Notting Hill Carnival – he’s also well known on the jazz scene. Another great musician I enjoyed filming was the great Harvey Mason who has worked with many jazz and jazz fusion artists, including Bob JamesChick Corea, the Brecker BrothersChuck LoebNathan EastLee RitenourHerbie Hancock's Headhunters etc. All filmed at Rubix Studios .
